Post Op Day 1

Received a knock on the door from the helper in the morning to order my complimentary breakfast. I am not a breakfast person, so I opted out. Then about 930am, I received a  call from Yusman. Time for massage.. I was very prepared for my massage. 3 years back, the massage for the thigh.. was a killer! No joke.. the massage is meant for draining excess liquid, that will speed up healing and the swelling. Doc gave me a good press the other time.. and the blood just squirted on the wall, and I remember I was soo apologetic, and the nurses were soo sweet to say.. sorry for pressing so hard.. I think the after care is really important. Especially when you are alone, and feeling emotional, some TLC from nurses will really help! After the massage, doc came to check on me to see how everything is doing, and all was good for me.. so i guess that's good news!

Time for some photos.. if you can notice... there are no more bulges on the side of my arms or near the armpits , which i am really really pleased about!!

After all was done, went back to my room and have some lunch, then continued with some good ipad videos :)

Medan Day 1

I booked my surgery in a way so i could rest over the weekend. This advice is definitely helpful if you are doing your thighs since the amount of fats that will be sucked out will be more, and recovery will be slightly longer.

I arrived in Medan and this time, i was really impressed with the new Kuala Namu Airport, which is about 1 hour's drive from Dr's clinic. The airport is clean, safe and not forgetting, has way more food choices than the old Polonia airport. I even manage to grab a roti boy after passing through immigration. I opted for the arrival car transfer, which was $22 from the airport direct to the clinic. Dr Arthur also provided complimentary airport transfer from the train station, but i decided not to go through all the hassle and just go for the car transfer instead. Helps in saving time and which will ensure surgery starts on time, which helps in giving me more time to rest!

Arrived at the clinic and Yusman greeted me. How nostalgic the feeling. If you were wondering, am I scared? Yes of course to a certain extent.. i mean.. it's a surgery afterall.. Since i been there for my surgery in 2012 before, i know what was going to happen etc, so i guess i was pretty prepared for it. Had a good long bath, then continued eating my roti boy and then, it was time for the dr's consultation. Right after the consulation, the dr took some photos and video for my fat pre-op arms, and then continued in cleaning me with iodine, before we started the procedure. Throughout the cleaning etc, Yusman was there and she was reassuring me and i guess that really helps.

I lied on the operating theatre, and was talking to Yusman, and the next thing i know, i woke up in the massage room... Lol! i asked how i got there, and Yusman who was there with me for the entire 2 hours i was sleeping in the massage room, said we walked there together. I guess i was too drowsy and forgot everything that happened...

Tip – when you are alone in the room, it can be a little lonely.. so my learning after my first trip was to bring my ipad wherever I went.. It really helped that I had my ipad with me to stream videos while I was there. Wifi connection was really good ;)

3 years after my Legs Lipo for my Arms

So after 3 years after having lipo done on my legs , I finally decided to have it done on my arms too.
In case you were wondering, this is my before and after for my legs.. i must say, 3 years later, I am really happy with my results..

To give you some background, I am not like really fat, but I have pretty large limbs, and not, it’s not because I am big-boned.. tried dieting, cardio and toning, acupuncture slimming, but for some reason, the fats just don’t seem to go away! I did make a little promise to myself as much as possible, to use non-invasive methods.. but oh well, 3 years later, after trying all the toning, seems like my  arms are not behaving, so I decided to go back to Dr Arthur for my arms liposuction.

In case you were wondering, I did do some research on local doctors so aftercare would be simpler, but Is too expensive. Also, seems like all the death cases were from Singapore, and since my surgery in 2012 with Dr Arthur was really successful, I decided to go with him again. Besides, the aftercare was not too difficult to manage. Medan is only about 1 hour flight away, and Dr’s clinic is all inclusive. It has a operating theatre, 2 massage rooms, guest rooms with double beds and a choice of ensuite bathroom, a dining room and living room. I have never been for any surgeries my entire life, and going for the procedure at Dr’s place, don’t even feel like a visit to the hospital or any sort. I like that cozy and homely feeling.
